Searching and Discovering

AdventureLog includes a search feature that helps you find locations, collections, and other content across your travel data.

Using Search

Access search from the navigation bar by clicking the search icon or pressing the / key on your keyboard as a shortcut.

Search Scope

The search function looks across:

• Location names and descriptions
• Collection names
• Tags and categories
• Notes and other associated content

Search Results

Results are displayed with relevant context, including:

• Location cards with preview images
• Collection summaries
• Direct links to view the full details

Finding Users

The Users section allows you to browse other users on the same AdventureLog instance. This is useful when:

• Looking for travel companions to share collections with
• Viewing public profiles of other travelers
• Sending collection invites to specific users

Filtering Locations

Beyond text search, you can filter your locations using:

• Categories: Filter by location type (parks, restaurants, landmarks, etc.)
• Tags: Filter by custom tags you have applied
• Visit status: Show only planned or completed locations
• Date range: Find locations visited during a specific period
