Understanding Your Dashboard

The Dashboard is your home base in AdventureLog. It provides an overview of your travel history and quick access to key features.

Travel Statistics

At the top of the dashboard, you will find three main statistics cards:

  • Countries Visited: Shows how many countries you have visited out of 195 recognized nations, displayed with a progress bar showing your completion percentage
  • Regions Visited: Tracks the total number of regions (states, provinces, territories) you have explored
  • Cities Visited: Counts all cities you have marked as visited

These statistics update automatically as you log visits through the World Travel feature or add locations with geographic data.

Recent Adventures

Below the statistics, the dashboard displays your most recently logged locations as cards. Each location card shows:

  • The location name and a featured image (if one has been added)
  • The category assigned to the location
  • Visit status (planned or completed)

Click View All to navigate to your complete locations list.

Quick Actions

Two prominent action buttons appear on the dashboard:

  • Add Location: Opens the location creation form where you can log a new place
  • Explore World: Takes you to the World Travel section where you can mark countries, regions, and cities as visited

Empty Dashboard

If you have not logged any adventures yet, the dashboard displays a welcome message with guidance on how to get started. Use the Add Location or Explore World buttons to begin documenting your travels.
