Sharing and Collaboration

AdventureLog supports collaborative travel planning through collection sharing, user profiles, and invite management.

Sharing Collections

To share a collection with another user on your AdventureLog instance:

1. Open the collection you want to share
2. Click the share or invite button
3. Search for the user you want to invite
4. Send the invitation

The invited user will receive a notification and can view the shared collection from their Invites page.

Managing Invites

Navigate to Invites from the navigation bar to see:

• Pending invitations you have received from other users
• The status of invitations you have sent
• Options to accept or decline incoming invites

User Profiles

Each user has a profile page that can show:

• Their display name and avatar
• Public travel statistics
• Shared collections visible to you

Browse other users on your instance through the Users section in the navigation.

Privacy Considerations

AdventureLog is designed with privacy in mind:

• Your locations and collections are private by default
• Only explicitly shared collections are visible to other users
• The instance administrator controls registration and user management
• Since AdventureLog is self-hosted, your data stays on your own server
