Tracking World Travel
The World Travel feature in AdventureLog lets you track which countries, regions, and cities you have visited throughout your lifetime. It provides a high-level view of your global travel footprint.
How World Travel Works
World Travel operates at three geographic levels:
Countries
Browse the full list of recognized countries and mark the ones you have visited. Your dashboard shows the total count and a percentage of the world explored.
Regions
Drill into any country to see its regions (states, provinces, territories, etc.). Mark individual regions as visited for a more detailed travel record. This is especially useful for large countries where you want to track which areas you have explored.
Cities
Within each region, you can mark specific cities as visited. This provides the most granular level of travel tracking.
Navigating World Travel
- Go to World Travel from the navigation bar
- Browse or search for a country
- Click on a country to see its regions
- Click on a region to see its cities
- Toggle the visited status for any country, region, or city
Travel Statistics
Your World Travel data feeds directly into the dashboard statistics:
- Countries Visited: Out of 195 recognized nations
- Regions Visited: Total across all countries
- Cities Visited: Total across all regions
The country count includes a progress bar on the dashboard showing what percentage of the world you have covered.
World Travel vs. Locations
World Travel and Locations serve different purposes:
- World Travel: High-level tracking of geographic areas visited (countries, regions, cities)
- Locations: Detailed records of specific places with photos, notes, visits, and activities
Both features complement each other. Use World Travel for the big picture and Locations for the details.
